Since graduating from the University of Kentucky with a double major in Art, Bonnie has had extensive graduate studies in Christian Education, Art History, English Literature, Education, and Business Administration, besides receiving a M. Min. in Christian Communication.

A CLASS graduate, she is a member of the Orange County Christian Writer's Fellowship (OCCWF); National Writers Association; San Diego Christian Writers Guild; The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators; The Christian PEN, American Christian Fiction Writers, and Rhode Island Historical Society.  She has also been officially awarded the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel by the State of Kentucky for her writing.

Formerly on the teaching staffs of both Concordia University, Irvine, and Harvest Bible University, LA, she also speaks to MOPS, schools, women’s groups, and senior citizens.  Especially close to her heart is speaking to and mentoring developing writers at writer's workshops, seminars, seminars and conferences.  Her stand-alone Write Your Book Workshops provide you with all you need to get your book started, written—and published!
